Dear Friends,

I am a Masters student working with the Oral History Dept. at Cal State Fullerton. The Oral History Department has amassed a tremendous amount of information relevant to the history of Orange County, particularly religious groups. These history projects are overseen by Dr. Hansen, the head of the department, and strive to present information in the clearest, most objective fashion. I am gathering material on “The Assembly”. I am interested in photographs (seminars etc…), literature (Torch and Testimony etc…) and anything else you might feel is relevant to this group. Click here to contact me.

Editor's note: This website would also love to have pictures, copies of Assembly publications, Assembly handouts, seminar brochures, etc. for the Documents section.

Update July 3, 2007:  So far I have amassed all of the Assembly Literature. Did you know G.G. published a book of poetry? I have a "signed copy". I have very few pictures. When the time comes I will be looking for one Assembly clergy and one laymen to interview. (I know we are "all brothers", but Dr. H doesn't understand.)

Comments from readers:

July 11, 2007, Anonymous:  "George was published in two books of poetry. One was a collection of poems by various poets. The second was only his poems. Both books were the kind of thing where you pay to be have your own work published. George financed the publishing of these books. He was never good enough to be published in the traditional sense. Actually, I guess it was the same with his other "books" in a more round about way. "
