Wayne Mathews
Wayne Mathews, Physician's Assistant, is Director of Kirby Hospital Emergency Department in Monticello, IL. In 2001 he was part of the Geftakys medical team that went to Otukpo, Nigeria to give ten days of free medical service at Dr. Sunday Ochenjele's private clinic, Mount Zion Gate Hospital. Wayne was instrumental in providing needed medical equipment was well. He was also able to make another trip to Nigeria in connection with the residency he works with.
In 2003, Wayne co-founded the Champaign County Christian Health Center, a free clinic which provides medical care and prayer to the needy without insurance. He says, "What a difference it has made!
